Pre-Twinkle Class is designed for beginning violin students ages 4 to 6 and their parent or caregiver. Students do NOT need to bring a violin to class, nor will they be expected to practice at home with a violin. Instead, Pre-Twinkle Class focuses on the mental, physical, aural skills that a student should demonstrate before beginning lessons.
Pre-Twinkle Class is immensely important for parents who will be the primary support for their child’s musical development at home (30+ minutes of lesson time with a teacher compared to hundreds of minutes of time spent practicing violin at home each week!). Violin lessons are emotional and financial investments, and Pre-Twinkle Class will help outline the adult expectations that will best support their beginning violinist. Families who complete the Pre-Twinkle Class will be well-equipped to begin lessons with any violin teacher, especially as part of a Suzuki violin studio.
