Bluestone Ensemble

The Bluestone Ensemble is a chamber music collective specializing in unique performances in and around Washington, DC. Recent performances include NSO at Mount Vernon, the Lyceum Chamber Series in Alexandria, Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center, Mohican Hills Concert Series, and Candlelight Concerts of all genres! Bluestone musicians regularly perform as members of The National Symphony Orchestra, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, Tallā Rouge, and the Air Force Strings.

Lauren Ellis Scott

Lauren joined the first violin section of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra in 2009 while also working as a full-time orchestra director in New York State’s Capitol Region. Lauren has performed ensembles including the Baltimore, Philadelphia, Charleston, Delaware, Ridgefield, Lancaster, and Haddonfield Symphony Orchestras, The Philly POPS, Eclipse and Inscape Chamber Orchestras, and the Maryland Lyric Opera. She has performed as the featured soloist for Hudson Valley BachFest, Stringendo, Arlington Symphony Orchestra Association, Shanghai Jianping School Orchestra, and on WHYY. Lauren has acted in title positions with the New Orchestra of Washington, American Contemporary Orchestra, Festival de la Orquesta Sinónica Juvenil de las Américas, Camerata Philadelphia, and the AIMS Festival Orchestra.
